The Somali Stability Fund (SSF) commissioned HACOF to conduct an endline assessment to evaluate the impact of a solar streetlight installation project. This assessment was driven by the need to enhance security and facilitate economic activities, particularly enabling businesses to operate safely during nighttime hours. The project aimed to address critical challenges related to public safety, crime prevention, and economic revitalization by improving lighting infrastructure in key areas.

The overall objective of the initiative was to supply and install solar-powered streetlights in eight designated locations, ensuring sustainable and reliable lighting solutions for communities. The assessment focused on measuring the effectiveness of the intervention in improving security conditions, boosting local commerce, and enhancing mobility after dark. By analyzing the outcomes and community feedback, the study provided valuable insights into the benefits of solar lighting and its role in fostering safer, more vibrant economic environments.
