Countries: Somalia
Client: International Organisation for Migration (IOM )
HACOF supported the International Organization for Migration (IOM) in implementing the JICA-MIDA Experts Placement – Phase III Project, which aimed to strengthen the institutional development of the Federal Government of Somalia. This initiative sought to leverage the expertise of the Somali diaspora by facilitating their engagement in knowledge transfer to public institutions and civil servants.
Through this project, Somali professionals from the diaspora were placed in key government institutions, where they provided technical assistance, capacity-building support, and skills development to enhance governance and service delivery. By bridging the knowledge gap and fostering institutional growth, the initiative played a crucial role in strengthening government effectiveness and promoting sustainable development in Somalia.
