Countries: Somalia
Client: International Labor Organization-ILO
HACOF collaborated with the International Labor Organization (ILO) to conduct an assessment aimed at evaluating the effectiveness, efficiency, and sustainability of the Local Economic Development (LED) approach within the Joint Programme on Local Governance (JPLG). The assessment provided key stakeholders with valuable insights on how LED initiatives contributed to economic growth, job creation, and improved livelihoods. Additionally, it offered recommendations on how best to align LED strategies with the broader goals of the JPLG program, ensuring their long-term impact and sustainability.
As part of its efforts to support economic development, HACOF also conducted an in-depth assessment on how stakeholder engagement within the private sector drives economic growth. The study examined the role of private sector actors in fostering investment, creating employment opportunities, and strengthening local markets. By analyzing these dynamics, the assessment highlighted best practices and policy recommendations to enhance collaboration between the private sector, government institutions, and development partners.
