HACOF conducted a comprehensive household survey as part of the World Food Programme (WFP) project to assess the registration intake of the Unified Social Registry (USR). This survey aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of the USR in capturing accurate and inclusive data on vulnerable households, which is essential for planning and implementing socioeconomic development initiatives. By examining the registration process, the assessment sought to identify gaps, challenges, and opportunities for improving the system to ensure better targeting and service delivery.
The primary objective of this initiative was to enhance livelihoods and economic well-being among diverse community groups, including those residing in both urban and rural areas, as well as pastoralist communities. By integrating these populations into the USR, the project aimed to facilitate access to social protection programs, financial assistance, and livelihood support mechanisms. The findings from this household survey provided critical insights to policymakers and development partners, helping to strengthen social safety nets and promote sustainable economic empowerment across different regions.
